Author Guidelines

1. The manuscript may be written in Portuguese, Spanish or English.

2. It is a condition for publication of the manuscript submitted to this journal that it has not been published and is not simultaneously submitted or published in another journal.

3. Submissions will be initially assessed and if they comply with publication standards and are considered potentially publishable by the journal, they will be sent for peer review (double blind review), preserving the identity of the authors and consultants.

4. The editorial process will only begin if the manuscript is forwarded according to the guidelines established in this document. Otherwise, it will be returned to adapt to the journal's guidelines.

5. The opinions issued by consultants contain justifications that may suggest approval for publication without changes, approval for publication with recommendations for changes or no recommendation for publication.

6. The members of the Editorial Board, after evaluating the reformulated version, are responsible for making final decisions on the manuscripts, including the need for new reformulations. Authors will be informed of all stages. The Editorial Board reserves the right to make small changes to the authors' text to speed up the editorial process.
