The aim of this article is to present a short analysis of how the Industrial Revolution proceeded, going through its stages and phases, up to the current moment with the birth of Industry 4.0. A bibliographical analysis of academic articles and books was used to produce the article. Throughout the topic, it is clear to see the steps in which manufacturing systems have developed, with the cooperation of major technological innovations, since all this research and invention has formed the current revolution, in which society now has a modern organization in which relationships change and produce new technological systems. Therefore, the 4th Industrial Revolution is the set formed by all the other revolutions that occurred previously, bringing new processes, where Automation has replaced manual work, as well as the Internet of Things, connecting individuals with devices or objects simultaneously, and finally Artificial Intelligence, programming tasks never seen before, advancing processes in a short time, and maximizing productivity in smart factories. In conclusion, in order to form a current concept for the market, where ever greater efficiency is needed, the following should be included for this stage.
