Abstract

Ameloblastomas are benign odontogenic tumors that sometimes present with aggressive behavior, leading to difficult surgical treatment conditions. Case report: A 26-year-old male patient diagnosed with multicystic ameloblastoma in the jaw, diagnosed after symptoms of facial asymmetry and increased volume. He presented specific radiographic characteristics, such as multiloculation in the form of "honeycombs" together with the performance of an incisional biopsy, which were crucial for the diagnosis. Treatment involved segmental resection of the tumor and reconstruction with a titanium plate. The objective of the study is to demonstrate that appropriate treatment is essential due to the aggressive potential, aiming to eliminate recurrences of this type of lesion.
