Despite the evolution of minimally invasive technology with extremely safe surgical procedures, complications such as pain, nausea, vomiting, headache, drowsiness and respiratory depression are recurrent in the postoperative period, being the main reasons for prolonged hospitalizations.1,2,3,4 A Research in acupuncture is, therefore, of great interest, as it can translate this ancient knowledge, contributing to its acceptance and incorporation in hospital and outpatient settings.
