Eloïse - pela tomada de consciência

Eloïse (1994) is a very thought-provoking piece, as at the same time that it explores Guyanese culture, it questions European culture. Between countries: developed and underdeveloped, many illusions are woven and human consciousness itself seems confused. The work explores the reflections of the characters, especially the Creole women who share the same dream: marrying a white man and going to live in France. However, they do not realize that when they set foot in Europe, they will suffer discrimination and will not change their social condition. The present work aims to explore the outbursts of reflection of each of these women. To this end, we resort to the considerations of Prado (1998) and Uberfeld (1996), who reflect on the character in the theatrical genre, and the notes of Pruner (2009) who analyzes the structure of the genre in question.
