Abstract

Contemporary practice in Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery requires the integration of scientific evidence, patient safety, and individualized care. In this issue, we highlight the importance of epidemiological, anatomical, and clinical knowledge as the foundation for accurate diagnoses and predictable treatment outcomes. At the same time, we address the challenges of decision-making in complex scenarios, where individual characteristics, age, and systemic conditions require personalized approaches. Established techniques and technological innovations must be accompanied by biological safety and effective risk management. Rather than providing definitive answers, this volume aims to stimulate critical reflection and promote a clinical practice that is increasingly evidence-based, safe, and patient-centered.
