The treatment of facial deformities has undergone some changes in recent decades employing principles of minimally invasive surgery in maxillary and mandibular osteotomy. The use of different osteotomy formats aims a better contour, filling and symmetry of the mandibular angle and body region, and in addition to this, allowing less edema and paresthesia compared to the classic technique. In this case report and integrative review, we aim to present a modification to the conventional procedure, as well as its applicability and execution.
