Temporomandibular arthroscopy represents an important procedure for the diagnosis and treatment of temporomandibular joint disorders. It is indicated when less invasive diagnoses are inconclusive, providing a direct approach to examining the joint and allowing detailed visualization of internal structures. Furthermore, temporomandibular arthroscopy represents a less invasive alternative compared to more traditional surgical procedures. With smaller incisions and a more direct approach, it offers patients the chance of a faster and less uncomfortable recovery, making it an attractive option for those seeking relief from TMD symptoms with less downtime and less impact on quality of life. A holistic view of the disease is of fundamental importance for successful treatment.
