Dossier: “Technology in Physical Education: Innovations, Advances, and Challenges in Health, Sports, and Education”

2026-03-01

The dossier aims to compile works that understand technology not only as a technical tool, but as an element that reconfigures pedagogical practices, training processes, health promotion strategies, and social dynamics in sport.

We encourage the submission of studies that:

✔️ Investigate the relationship between digital technologies and the teaching-learning process in the context of Physical Education in schools or higher education;
✔️ Analyze the application of technologies in sports training, performance monitoring, and injury prevention;
✔️ Explore resources such as wearables, apps, digital platforms, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and augmented reality;
✔️ Discuss the impacts of technologies on physical assessment, health monitoring, and exercise prescription;
✔️ Address inequalities in access, digital exclusion, and ethical issues related to data use;
✔️ Address the role of technology in rehabilitation, adapted physical activity, and public health promotion;
✔️ Present innovative experiences, intervention reports, and studies validating technological instruments.

Finally, the dossier will value critical reflections on the epistemological, methodological, and educational challenges arising from the incorporation of technology in Physical Education, contributing to the strengthening of scientific production and the qualification of professional practices in the face of contemporary demands.
