coordination of the GEPLE research group for initial and continued teacher training in the backlands of Pajeú, Brazil

This article aims to disclose the scope of GEPLE's training actions, as a Group of Studies and Research in Language and Education associated with the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE) from 2017-2024. Thus, we highlight the contributions of studies carried out to the community in courses/workshops, extension projects, research and initial and continuing training projects that constitute a pillar of the group, based on the perspective of Freirian studies, with contributions from other theorists. With the expanded flow of research and studies at a national and international settings, we seek in this article to provide an overview of the scope of the countless formations that solidified the university-school-community partnership and that constitute the current research group, with the publication of three works that went beyond the initial projection of GEPLE, suggested at the time of its creation.
