Abstract

The objective of this article is to describe an overview of a didactic-pedagogical intervention that resulted in the publication of a collection of 20 (twenty) Comics (Comics) written by students in the 9th year of elementary school. The intervention process took place at EREFEM Deputy João Teobaldo de Azevedo, in the municipality of Carpina–PE. The theoretical foundation was based on the assumptions of the Bakhtin Circle (Bakhtin, 1997; Bakhtin/Volochínov, 2006) regarding work with discursive genres (comics) and the methodological device of the didactic sequence (DS) developed by researchers from Geneva (Dolz; Noverraz and Schneuwly, 2004) adapted by Costa-Hübes (2009; 2011), which includes the genre recognition module before initial production. The methodological aspect was guided by action research (Engel, 2000; Tripp, 2005; Thiollent, 2009) of a qualitative nature (Gil, 2008). The data collection instrument was through 24 (twenty-four) Portuguese language classes that were framed through a (SD) prepared by the first author of this article and a logbook that guided data collection. As a result, the intervention process culminated in the publication of a collection that brings together comics written by students and two notebooks of didactic-pedagogical activities for Portuguese language teachers and students, in addition to resulting in the development of social practice; in strengthening discursive practices and in the study of comics to recognize political, economic and social issues in the world by students.
